Thickened liquid latex is mainly used to reduce mould making time. The first few coats of liquid latex should be unthickened to replicate sharper detail from the original piece. Thickened latex is then used for additional coats until sufficient mould thickness is achieved. Recommended mix of 2% thickener to liquid latex. Stir until smooth. Maximum dose 5%, too much thickener will produce a brittle latex mould.
